This is my 38th year in education. I have served 27 years as an Assistant and Associate Principal at the High School and Jr. High School levels. I received my Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and am currently working on attaining my Ed.D. I was named TASSP Assistant Principal of the Year in 2002 and was a top 5 State Finalist representing Region 4.
I have taught Alternative Certification classes for 10 years and also was a Trainer of Trainers with Region 4 ESC. I have two grown sons ages 25 and 29, who attended Magnolia High School and graduated from MISD.
I believe that I have been called to serve in this profession. I was raised in a family of educators, and feel that as principal of DAEP, I will have the opportunity to give the students from MISD the support and guidance they may need to become responsible, productive citizens.
